Special thanks

The J.V. Cardiff & Sons rice dryer had been neglected and abandoned for a few decades, and the risks of acquiring it and starting its preservation were very high. These organizations and people have helped The Dryer project tremendously.

Who made it possible

This project could not exist without the generosity and kindness of Capital Real Estate Investment (Richard Rolland, Marc Deer and Blake Deer). CRETX changed their plan and sold us the land, which allowed this project to exist.

Adrienne Davitz, President of Katy Heritage Society, has been instrumental from the beginning of the project. We appreciate her time, advice, guidance and historical knowledge.

Since we acquired The Dryer in February 2021, many organizations and individuals have contacted us with their help and support. We are truly blessed to have such a strong community. We appreciate our community for supporting The Dryer project.

Hundreds of hours spent reading deeds, newspaper articles and research. Hundreds of hours on the phone. Countless meetings. Our accomplishments today are not without your involvement. We appreciate all that you do. We would also like to thank Jameson for his patience and the generosity of his time.
