Active Community Services - Katy Non-Profit Roundtable

’m reaching out to invite you to join me, Active Community Services, and a group of community leaders for a focused, 60 minute roundtable discussion in Katy this November.

Through Active Community Services (ACS), we are working to promote safer streets, reduce bicycle "Emobility" pedestrian and vehicle related accidents and fatalities, and encourage more people to enjoy active, healthy lifestyles. Throughout 2026, ACS has participated in community events reaching hundreds of youth and adults and has received and redistributed more than 50 bicycles, youth helmets, and pieces of cycling gear.

As we look toward 2027, I want to bring together leaders from healthcare, traffic safety, local government, education, emergency services, and the cycling community to discuss our upcoming events and explore how we can make them more impactful by combining our expertise, experience, and resources.

The primary goal of this meeting is to identify opportunities for collaboration on future ACS community events and programs. We'll review our plans for bike and pedestrian safety education, cycling awareness, youth and family outreach, and community engagement. Most importantly, we'll discuss how those attending, their organizations, and their professional networks might contribute, participate, or partner to help bring these initiatives to life.

I also recognize that many of us are working toward similar goals, sometimes independently. By bringing people together who may not all know one another, I hope to create stronger connections, share valuable resources, and make it easier to coordinate efforts that benefit our community.

I'd encourage you to recommend or invite anyone else whose expertise, experience, or community involvement could contribute to these efforts.

The meeting will be held in Katy, with the location and time finalized based on everyone's availability. Please take a moment to select your available dates using the poll below.
